Staying at "Borgo Il Ducato", you can easily reach historical and cultural interesting places, among others Vulci , Tarquinia, Tuscania, Sovana, Orvieto, Pitigliano, Caprarola, Viterbo, Marta, Capodimonte, Bolsena, Gradoli, etc.; these are all places that lay in a distance of maximum 40 minutes by car.

From "Borgo Il Ducato" you can walk to the Selva del Lamone, a nature reserve of rare beauty, where you can make natural and archeological trails (on request with a giude).

The old grain barn, now restructured, makes for a charming exposition space and can also be equipped to hold other cultural initiatives.
Trips on horseback can be organised, while the nearby Bolsena Lake (10 minutes by car) and the sea provide the opportunity for swimming and pleasant walks.
Guests can also make use of an excellent library and a common livingroom.
In addition there is an antique bakery oven, still in operation, that was used to make bread for the families of the homesteaders. Today it can turn out tasty pizzas made with tomatoes from the produce garden and the mozzarella from a nearby cheese manufacturer.

The professors have a long experience, therefore will be able to help students of different levels. Concerning the accomodation, the guests will sleep in confortable double rooms . Local products such as olive oil,wine,fruit and vegetables, will be used to prepare you delicious dishes.

PICKING OLIVES

In November you can participate to pick the olives, a centuries old custom.
FARMING

At Borgo il Ducato are produced the excellent "Canino" olive oil, one of Italy's best qualities, white wine and biologial products from the vegetable garden.
Furthermore you can find various fruits, according to the season: cherishes, pears, plums and figs. These products may be taken by our guests.

HORSE RIDING

There can be organised tours on horses to discover the beauty of the Maremma and to live an experience of wild nature and old traditions
